amorphous alloy by WAH

5. May 2017 @ 20:00 - 21:00

We are melting electronics, poetry, vocals, body/movement and spacial structures into a (performative) AMORPHOUS ALLOY. Amorphous alloys are metallic materials with a glass-like structure and astonishing properties, applicable for example as biomaterial for implantation into bones, which dissolves gradually in organisms and is replaced with bone tissue… a possible meeting point between body and machine.

WAH is the name for collaborative work of Anja Weber, Jagna Anderson and Dodi Helschinger. Since 2016 we keep criss-crossing together various artistic fields and creating new polyphonies out of dance, acoustic and electronic music, vocal performance, poetry, video and installation. We explore intersections between body and its different multisensorial contextualizations. We are combining improvisation and instant composition with scores.

Anja Weber is a dancer, choreographer, musician, CLMA (Certified Laban Movement Analyst) and she specialized in psychosomatic medicine and neuropsychology. She studied dance at Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance, Munich and real time composition with Julyen Hamilton and Billie Hanne.

Jagna Anderson is a multidisciplinary performance artist working with movement, voice and visuals. She studied various somatic disciplines and improvisation methodologies (a.o. with Sten Rudstrøm, Ruth Zaporah, Andrew Morrish, Rosalind Crisp).

Dodi Helschinger is an author/poet, performer and vocalist. She studied improvisation with Sten Rudstrøm, Ruth Zaporah, Andrew Morrish. Together with Jagna Anderson Dodi is developing multidisciplinary performances involving voice, movement and spacial design.
